Dinner from our home grown produce

It's an awesome moment when all the hard work of growing your own vegetables pays off and you get to eat them! I'd like to take all the credit but I can't really take any. Craig has been planting and growing seeds and plants for weeks now, we've spent hours at Bunnings and Masters, buying organic soil and organic fertilizer, sprinkling egg shells over the soil, watering them daily. We've pretty much got everything growing and the 'veggie patch' is constantly expanding with new things.

Today we got to pick some lettuce, cucumber, basil and capsicum.
So I made a yummy salad and it was so damn good I thought I'd share the recipe.

Cos Lettuce and or Spinach
Zucchini (peeled into ribbons)
Fetta Cheese
Bacon (4 rashers)
Garlic (2 cloves)
Penne Pasta
Olive Oil

Make a salad with lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, capsicum and cucumber.

Cook some penne pasta.

Whilst the pasta is cooking, lightly fry some bacon, zucchini, parsley and garlic in butter. (This would probably be really nice with mushrooms too thinking about it)

When the pasta is cooked, add the bacon, zucchini parsley and garlic.

Throw on some fetta cheese.

Add all this over the top of your salad

Season with Himalayan Pink Salt and or Olive Oil

Serve with Wine.
