Feel Good Fix

Sometimes, you're in a bad mood. Life can be exhausting with all the bills to pay, getting along with everyone, getting tired, trying to be a perfect wife, mother, daughter, friend, employee, cleaner, cook and look nice everyday!
But you've always got to remember, there's always someone far worse off, you have many things to be grateful for and here's my top ten Feel Good Fixes. (If you get the time, yeah right!)

1. Have a bath ( For all you Mums, this is near impossible unless you want to be accompanied with bath toys and someone shouting Muuuuummmm from the otherside of the door) But if you can steal 20 mins for yourself, grab your favourite bath salts, light a candle or two and try to enjoy it and not make mental lists about all the stuff you have to do.


2. Paint your nails, I myself always feel a little bit glamorous with some red nails!

3. Have a glass of water ( Wow, how exciting ) but the more water you drink, the more hydrated you will be and will actually have more energy and look a bit better too. 

4. Say Thank you for ten things you are grateful for in your life. You don't have to say it out loud, just think it or write it down. It can be anything from being grateful you're alive, you have a car to drive, grateful to have a job no matter what it is, grateful for a childhood memory, grateful for your family, your lunch, running water, oxygen to breathe, a house... I guarantee it will put a smile on your face. Its amazing the things we take for granted but taking the time to sit and think about the good things in our lives attracts more of those things. ( I'm addicted to the Rhonda Byrne books at the moment- The Secret, The Power and The Magic - it really really works).

5. Do Something nice for Someone

6. Indulge in your guilty pleasures - Mine just happens to be Brax in Home and Away and I don't care how sad it is I just like to stop what I'm doing, sit down for half an hour and watch Home and Away and perv on the River Boys! 

7. Declutter, get rid of all the crap that's cluttering your handbag, your wallet or your wardrobe. It leaves you with all your best things. It's like a breath of fresh air.

8. Treat Yourself - You deserve it. Buy yourself a magazine, have a glass of wine, whatever you want. Some of the best things in life are the little treats.

9. Do something you love. For me, I love to draw. So if I'm feeling a bit flat I sometimes just pick up a stick of charcoal and doodle. I usuallyt feel much better and have created something personal too.

10. Read - Theres nothing like sitting back on a comfy chair in a quiet place, losing yourself in a good book. Getting your mind caught up in someone elses drama and letting the author do all the hard work for you.
